Allestree Woodlands School has a wide range of fitness and sporting facilities which are open to the public across the whole week.

Casual opportunities exist with Woodlands Sport and Leisure across a range of different job roles, including Lifeguards*,Gym Instructors*,Swim Teachers*, Multi-Sports Leaders, Group Exercise Instructors* and Recreation Attendants.

Job responsibilities vary between job roles.

Independent Admission Appeal Panel Member

Applications are invited for the voluntary role of Independent Admission Appeal Panel Member at Allestree Woodlands School Derby.

Allestree Woodlands School are currently seeking Independent Panel members that would be interested in helping the local community with hearing appeals to find a place in education for their child.  Previous knowledge or experience within a school is not necessary; the only requirement is that you are independent of the school.

Whilst this is a voluntary position there is funding to cover travel for the work carried out, either fares or 40p per mile for use of own vehicle.  The amount of appeals that panel members attend during the year depends on their availability and personal commitments.

Hearings take place during the school day and are held in the mornings between 9am-12:30.

Full training will be provided for new members.

This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check which is paid for by the school.
