Intervention and support lessons

 

As well as supporting students in lessons, discrete intervention takes place in the HUB and within the Enhanced Resource Facility for deaf students including for all students with an additional or special need. Those with an Education Health Care Plan ( EHCP ) will receive ongoing support throughout Key stage 3, 4 and 5 as appropriate which includes:

· Literacy and Numeracy work
· Reading, Spelling and Handwriting work
· Dyslexia screening and support classes
· Personalised Curriculum support work
· Autism Circle of Friends work
· BSL ( British Sign Language) Courses
· Support with class work
· Support with GCSE course work
· Support with Work Experience applications
· Support with College Applications and Post 16 education ( as part of our ongoing commitment to further education either here at Allestree Woodlands school or elsewhere)
